Deborah Donohue

Deborah Donohue

In 1989, Deborah spent eleven days, near death, in Cottage Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit, during which time she also lost a newborn daughter. The experience would change the trajectory of both her life and her life’s work. The events that occurred triggered an awakening and deepening of her gifts, both as healer and medium. In the year that followed her hospitalization she discovered yoga and its power to assist healing on all levels, emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually.

Seeking clarity and understanding, she began to actively pursue her desire to write. Her experiential encounter with death led her into hospice work, caring for men and women with AIDS. Today, she is an Integrative Yoga Therapist as well as a professional writer and editor.

She is known for her healing touch, calming presence and ability to create a sanctuary of sacred space for others. Her classes are joyful and replenishing, reflective and mindful explorations of the electromagnetic field of the heart. Pilgrimages to John of God in Brazil, the ancient Greek temples of healing on the Costa Brava in Spain, and to many sacred wells and springs in the south of France have enriched her perspective and teaching. All levels of yoga experience are welcome.
